  4. Hey Frank! I’m getting back into ONSUG after a few month’s hiatus. I just wanted to tell you a little about the Bonneville Salt Flats because I live in Utah. The salt flats are what’s left of a gigantic lake (Lake Bonneville) that disappeared about 14,500 years ago. It was about the size of Lake Michigan, so it covered a huge part of Salt Lake City. Today you can see the shoreline of the lake on the hills around the valley, kind of like a line left after taking a bath.

    And, most importantly, it was named after an explorer who went through the area in the 1800’s.

    Anyway, keep up the good work!
