1:10:39 – It’s another hot summer night outside in Birmingham, AL. Tonight, Mike discusses a near miss he had passing a fiery car wreck on his way to work this week and two other near death experiences he’s had in his life; Barnes n’ Noble; the Criterion Collection; Playstation 2 reviews (“Jaws Unleashed”, “Red Dead Revolver”, “Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick”); confusing civilians for store clerks; dealing with a broken down car and would the world be better off if we all worked from home (less car accidents, etc.)?; movie reviews (“Dazed and Confused” *1993* and “Everybody Wants Some” *2016*); Northern-based Utz potato chips buying Birmingham-based Golden Flake; “The Blair Witch Project” re-make is being directed by a guy who is originally from Birmingham and other locals who have gone on to make good (St. Paul and the Broken Bones, the “Swiss Army Man” director).
Music for this episode: “Woodstock Blues” by the Bayou Trio (CC — ND, SA)
