  1. I learned a bit about the race field on the census forms in college a few years ago. Some ethnic groups complained about the last census form because it didn’t include specific categories, like Black and some other race. Personally, I put down two ethnic groups.

As for why they do it, I think it’s because a region gets more money if there is a particular minority group living there. But, I could be wrong.

  2. I quite liked Elastica when they were ripping everyone’s songs off. Justine’s just really good then. But there were strange drug issues and lots of generic English depressing crap that happened… oh, and they tried to actually make their own songs. It all fell apart.

Of course, I also didn’t know any better at the time.

  3. You should check out “Vineland” by Pynchon. Deals with many similar themes as “Inherent Vice”. Also, “V.” and “The Crying of Lot 49” are amazing. They are reminiscent of “Severe Repair” in an odd sort of way.

  4. Nice show. I like those three changes you did; the intro music, day, etc. But I also think it was cool before when you told us the day/date/time/location in the beginning of the show.

I loved the mood of the show when you were in Starbucks. It was like being inside another person’s head hearing it’s thoughts, and all the ambient sounds. That’s one thing that makes this show so cool!
Starbucks has recently opened a few shops here in Sweden. So I guess now we can help saving the world by buying coffee there too lol. My god I get so tired of all these companies talking about how they’re saving the world.

  5. I think its cool that americnas celebrate “Irish Day” which they might aswell call it, its far from what it started out as but in many ways i think its done way better then we do it here. I ended up not drinking this paddys day myself because; ironically, I was too hungover from Mothers Day when we all went out for dinner, we all hit the wine – but i then mistakenly hit the pubs after the meal. I guess some of the stereo types are true.

btw. that snakey laugh you do sometimes is very much like shane mcgowans laugh from the pouges which i think is kinda disgusting (not just his laugh, but as a person) some of his songs aint bad though i must admit.

  6. Frank,

Trying to remember how to cut up a head of lettuce to make an impromptu HotWheels play-set for my nephew, i think its supposed to be like a spiral through the head and then the leaves form like a car wash of some type. Is this something? I like they name Crest Hype, I remember ordering a sandwich from a Subway restaurant, back around 1988, and they still had this slogan on the bag about how they wanted to have 2000 locations by 1990, anyway the guy behind the counter, acne scarred, greasy red hair, and pale had really bad teeth, while I was stepping up to order, one of his coworkers mentioned something about his smile, and he started on this rant about how he was gonna F’ing sue Crest, cause he’s been using that shit for years and this (pointing at his teeth) is what he got from it, then he threw his hands up in disgust, and just said Damn -It! as he walked away.

    PS,
remember how Subway used to do the V-cut when they made your sandwich? They don’t do that anymore.

  7. They called it the u-gouge, afaik… and they stopped doing it because it was stupid and took so much time. Also, most of the people they hire can barely cut cheese in half.

(I guess I’ll be applying there next)

  8. Smoke alarms mock me. Each of mine has two batteries; one for the sound and one for the sensor, or something. They run out within a couple of days of each other, but not close enough to change them at the same time.
