Frank, we had the 2001 Soundtrack at my house growing up as well, I used to love to look at the artwork on that album and to share the music with friends spending the night over, it was my creep out music, the ultimate thrill to listen to that album late at night. My brother and I considered it to be of the highest art. What a great memory. My father was a big Arthur C Clarke we attending the movie on several screenings growing up, I agree that it is one of those movies that had a profound impact on my mind and my sensibilities. Great stuff.
