  2. I had the same Little River Band-style synchronicity a few weeks ago with that Looking Glass song “Brandy (You’re a Fine Girl)”.

    I think I read in that Jean Shepherd biography that the song “A Boy Named Sue” was written for Johnny Cash by Shel Silverstein about Jean Shepherd. They grew up together in Chicago and apparently Jean Shepherd was always getting beat up because he had a girl’s name.
