  1. Great story Dave! Stories are such powerful things. Have you ever listened to Alan Watts? This is a nice one. He has a very genuine and original sense of our relationship with enlightenment, meaning, and God. He takes a very real, based on observation and logic approach to the concept. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hTOmcM93Uo

He has so many great speeches. (and books as well)

  2. While discussing “power” I’m almost shocked no one mentioned the power of chili.

  3. I’ll never forgot those afternoons after Campbells Bacon Bean soup. Those days with the windows open and fans running. Stepping outside before striking a match.

  4. I actually have some of that particular soup in my apocalyptic supply stash; I contemplated eating some during the hurricane but did avoid it because of the worrisome after-effects…

  9. I checked iTunes today to see how this episode was “doing” and it is visibly behind every other Central I’ve ever put out in 10.5 months. Was it really THAT bad?

  10. Chad – or alternatively it is at http://sleazediary.blogspot.co.uk/2017/08/back-on-rails-part-two.html, where you can also read a bit of background about what’s going on.

Jimbo – this is most definitely the best ever edition of the Central, as PQ might say. For what it’s worth, this week has been poor traffic-wise for everyone, (or so my contacts in the secret world of webmastering tell me).

  11. Ah, that makes me feel better. I enjoyed your railroad. I think I saw Vic and Sade and young Rush there at the depot…

  12. Thank you, Doc. Please keep us up to date with your train’s progress. It is definitely a great hobby.
