I’m still somewhat new to the show, but this is the first time I have realized that the Gooks don’t actually own the little house halfway up in the next block. Sade thinks Rush is arguing just for the sake of argument, but his reasoning is sound and his instincts are commendably capitalistic, though for the life of me I can’t figure why a landlord would think gorillas and/or monkeys on the walls would make his property more marketable down the road.

re: baboons – The animal has shown up three times just since I re-started doing the Vic and Sadecast…
That silly Beulah… Listen for her in the future, she’s not very bright.
I hate to say this but Sade is pretty unAmerican. I could back it up if I had to.

Sade’s attitude was not uncommon for Depression-era Americans. They even wrote popular songs referencing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMiAekFLtvk

They must have done this to relate to a wider audience.
Why would they not own their house?

Maybe the Rhymer family (who lived on that same Virginia Ave.) did not own their house?
