Vic and Sadecast 072 – Uncle Fletcher’s Doorstop Plan (11/10/17)

$_3 (18:21) Dave in Kentucky” (aka “Chief”) is a relatively new fan of “Vic and Sade”. But like so many, he seems have fallen in love with the show. Jimbo asked him if he’d be interested in doing an episode of the VIC AND SADECAST and he jumped at the idea. His interesting perspectives and fresh sense of humor make for fun listening. So let’s welcome Dave to the party. And let’s hope there are many more hostings from “Chief” to come.

Traditionalists will be happy that Jimbo has finally recorded a version of the “Vic and Sade” theme song in the time signature it was written in, waltz time (3/4), rather than the 4/4 that Jimbo had fun with in previous versions. It makes it’s debut here in this podcast. Also, he simply used a synthesizer, but we defy you to prove that the primary instrument used in this theme isn’t an accordion.

“Vic and Sade” was written by Paul Rhymer.

A big THANK YOU to Internet audio pioneer Frank Edward Nora and ONSUG for hosting the VIC AND SADECAST.

  1. Hey Jimbo, where’d you get the picture of the 4-inch piece of traintrack rail? That’s almost exactly the way I pictured it before it’s put into its velvet cover.

Nice job on the accordian music! I guess I must be a traditionalist. Now all we need are some Crisco commercials!

  2. I will throw in a Crisco advertisement every now and then for you guys. The fans even complained that Vic and Sade’s commercials were among the longest in all of radio. Some last 5-6 minutes.

  3. By the way, you did a very nice job with this one. The graphic came up in Google images… Thanks on the accordion – sounds just like a dog-gone accordion, don’t it?

  4. Nice one Dave, It is great to hear you here. Any folks here interested in starting a new chapter of the Sacred Stars of the Milky Way? I would like to march sometimes in my backyard simultaneously with a crowd of my peers.

  10. I believe RJ Konk also said: “Spinach yuk hamburger e pluribus candor cornacopia fini”

  11. I have a feeling RJ Konk was “in hoc” up to the eyeballs.

  13. According to Wikipedia, the heaviest rail used in North America was 155 lbs per yard. 440 lbs seems way too heavy for a 4 foot section of rail. Although, I’m sure it seems like 440 lbs when you try to move it ! You might need Miss Nagle to lift it!

  14. All beef!
