59:15 – Welcome to Tape Land! On each episode, I will be presenting the audio of a cassette tape from my collection. It’s a way to help motivate me to digitize more of my archives.
This is a very interesting tape. I recorded it my apartment at 170 Thompson St. in Manhattan, while attending NYU.
The first part is the soundtrack to an animated film I made (in 1988, I think). I used my Casio SK-1 and used a similar production method to my Little Frankie Nora music. The rest of the tape is me talking about my dreams and my weird experiences in college.
There are some audio problems – the volume is not consistent – I tried to amplify different sections to make it easier to hear.
