That guy in the show-art picture looks vaguely familiar.
I never played the “All-Star Baseball” game, but it sounds similar to Strat-o-matic. Alyea’s chance of hitting HR’s was probably based on a small early-season sample of at-bats. In April of 1970, for instance, he did hit five homers in only 53 at-bats, which is almost 10%. That would be Ruthian over a full season.
