  1. Ancient Aliens – I’ve seen a bit of that show, and it uses leading questions and has an obvious bias. One thing they don’t seem to consider is that people were very likely more intelligent back then, even if they didn’t have the technology we have today. As people fought to gain more power, they also fought to keep the people under them only educated enough to complete tasks for them and never enough to take their places. Now we’re pretty stupid and very lazy. And you’re right… it’s just a repackage of old ideas and footage.

When they show drawings of things that look like space ships and future technology, they don’t bother to propose the idea that maybe these people just had good imaginations. I drew space ships I just imagined for fun when I was a kid. Who’s to say these ancient people didn’t do the same thing? I wonder what people will think of our drawings 10,000 years from now.

  2. Yeah, all those UFO Alien type shows phrase their questions with a good hook to them. I am caught up in this version I think because they really worked hard on keeping it moving, sometimes these show repeat the same footage and images way to much and this one seems to be able to pull out a lot more footage and keep the pace up.

I also like this show because I get another viewpoint aside from the mainstream, so you can better make your own decisions. One of the big things is that if you listen to some of this stuff it just seems ridiculous, but then if you take a moment to think of things like mainstream Christianity for a moment, you see that it is just as ridiculous in some of its stories as any of this is. Just goes to show you that popularity has as much an effect on ideology as anything.

How about Process and Result, which is more your style?

    Thanks for listening.

    Bob
