Day 1 (Dec 2007) – Track 26 – 11:39 AM (11:39:32)
The Overnightscape Underground (onsug.com) – “An audio world to discover and explore.”
Created by Frank Edward Nora (frank@theovernightscape.com) in New Jersey, USA

MyVirtualBand.com was a website that began in late 2004 and closed in early 2007. On the site, musicians collaborated to create songs by uploading and downloading audio tracks. All the audio tracks on the site were released under the Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 license, which means that you can do pretty much what you want with the audio as long as you give credit to those who created it. There were 113 “featured songs” on the site, and a much greater number of songs “in progress”. Even though the site has shut down, the music from the site is still under the same license – which allows the songs to be re-released here in The Overnightscape Underground!

Lyrics:

From my room I can see
Coyotes on the boulevard
Alone and afraid just like me

Iridescent eyes flash in the headlights
Not understanding these hot L.A. nights

Lost and all is gone
Wanna get back to the place they belong

Running frantic in the big city gloom
With no time for howling at the moon

Nothing here they understand
Nothing here but the dangerous man

A million people with that same terrified gaze
With a million reasons to escape this place

Like coyotes on the boulevard
Like coyotes on the boulevard
Yeah
Show me the way home
Show me the way home

Nothing here they understand
Nothing here but the dangerous man

A million people with that same terrified gaze
With a million reasons to escape this place

  1. Hey!

thanks for posting this, I was a long time member at MVB and wrote the lyrics for this song. I had all but forgotten about the MVB stuff until recently and decided to go looking for the things I collaborated on. I am glad you posted this one up so I could finally get my hands on a copy of it.

  2. Hamm,

Great to hear from you! I love your lyrics for this song!!

I’m a big fan of all the music from MVB. I’m looking forward to rereleasing more songs in the future.

If you need anything else, let me know. I grabbed just about everything before they pulled the plug.

    Frank
