2:04:40 – Welcome to Tape Land! On each episode, I’ll present the audio of a cassette tape or historic material from my personal archives.
This is quite the re-discovery. It’s a computer voice reading a bunch of dreams I had written down from 1989 to 1994. It was originally released as my entry for Overnightscape Central – Writes (2/23/22). At that time, the computer voice I used was less sophisticated and talking very fast. It also seemed to be incomplete. Here, I use the computer voice “Azure Harper MAI-Voice-2”, which is a much better voice, talking at a more normal pace. And the full text is included.
It’s a dizzying trip through my dreams, at a time when I was dreaming a lot, and remembering epic sections of the dreams. There are even a few references to dreams which inspired sections of my failed science fiction novel, Severe Repair (including the origin of the character Prince Ferrajalt).
