1:42:03 – 10/10/10, shellac, stations changing format, Discovery Kids becomes “Hub”, the age of young childrens’ parents these days, channel surfing nightmare, sucked into the manga/anime world, K-On!, Chakaoaxacatron, two week holiday rule, Ponyo, area blocked off, soldier, numerology, one year anniversary yesterday of my last WFMU show, adrift in life, Jerry Springer, The Secret / Law of Attraction, solipsism, deprivation and satisfaction, Columbus Day Parade, mask your own mind, taxi whistler, skull umbrellas, unintentional, wishy washy, moshi moshi, The Twisted Whiskers Show, cartoon animals fighting, black magic, Montclair, NJ, television history, the UFOs on Wednesday, Obliviana, intersection bathed in a pink light, bookstores, the golden age of 1978 to 1982, pinball machines, Montclair Book Center, Church Street, gold, negative restaurant reviews on the Internet, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 released today, hyping things for so long before they’re released, Stereolab, iPhone, Windows Phone 7, Inramble videos, preroll ads, marketing, obscure whiskey, candy store, weird movie theater, Squirrel Nut Zippers, band names, the books I got (Barlowe’s Guide to Extraterrestrials, Aliens In Space, Great Space Battles), amazing lushly illustrated sci-fi/fantasy books around 1980 (After Man, The Stainless Steel Rat, Masquerade, etc.), break dancing, a visit to Holstein’s Ice Cream Shop (location of the final scene of The Sopranos, with the fade to black), and heaven is the funky moose.

  2. Absolutely love your opinions regarding the Law Of Attraction as it relates to deprivation/satisfaction, and agree wholeheartedly. If you could make anything you want happen by perfecting “The Secret”, then obtaining these things would lose its value and eventually become meaningless.
