Over Your Head 10: Pronouncing Mnemomics (Series Complete) (5/10/11)

26:54–  This is the last in this series. If you’ve enjoyed it, you can find lots more like this over on Neal’s “Into Your Head” podcast at IntoYourHead.com. Another dose of harmless nonsense from Ireland,  in which Neal discusses a myriad of issues including the limitations of mind-reading, practicing being Jay Leno’s announcer, a new kind of guitar string, the musical career of boxing champion Barry McGuigan,  avoiding cynicism, the limitations of bilingual conversations, self-serving politeness, PQ Ribber’s band, some advice for Manny the mailman regarding delivering dead fish, how Brian Jude stays awake, how to pronounce the word “Mnemonics”, stepping into the role of continuity announcer and more.

Also included is a bulletin of “Athy Weekly World News”, from the archives of  Into Your Head podcast. Anchor Sháinne Greoige (Neal’s wife Joanne) brings you events of global interest from Over Your Head’s home town.   And a musical interlude entitled “This is Filler”,  generated automatically by Neal’s Madplayer.

  1. As ever, a fun listening experience with no powdery residue – and it doesn’t attract former child stars…

  2. I’m declaring episode 10 to be the end of the “Over Your Head” series! I’ll still be on Overnightscape Central of course.

10 is a nice even number to bring the set to completion. Anyone who wants more will, by now, know where find my other stuff (IntoYourHead.com), and anyone who doesnt want more will have had their fill by now.

I’ve found that for some reason my better work doesn’t want to happen when I’m recording for ONSUG. Perhaps my creative side is secretly a selfhish hoarder!

Anyway, thanks for hosting them Frank, much appreciated. Many of my most loyal listeners have discovered Into Your Head though ONSUG.
