Frank in NYC in the evening. Talking about a lot of stuff, including the “Syfy” channel, Seeing Ear Theater, new Andy Kaufman interview, audio setup, the Oxygen channel, Blue Velvet, David Lynch, True Stories, Talking Heads, David Byrne, Pixies, Black Francis, “Sounds From True Stories”, Nat Sherman, Gray Gardens, Britain’s Got Talent “surprising” singer, being rich and famous is fun, Pixar movies are just okay, “every day before the crash is a good day”, waiting for the bus and talking like the Brother Theodore Gollum from the Rankin-Bass animated Hobbit, Federal Reserve, and government popcorn.

  1. The whole Andy Kaufman situation is interesting. I enjoy listening. Not sure that I believe he faked his death though… I’m leaning more towards this being a dedicated fan. Very cool for the memory of Andy Kaufman 🙂
Didn’t realize there was an older version of Grey Gardens. I’ll be checking that out before I watch the new movie with Drew Barrymore. Thanks for the info 🙂
I don’t know anyone that wants the economy to crash… that would be awful. I do agree that at some point soon, something needs to give. But what or when, well, we won’t know until it happens. Try to keep positive because it’s tough to live your daily life thinking the end is just around the corner.

  2. When a channel changes it’s name to something clear and certain, like “SciFi”, to something like “SyFy”, I take that as a warning sign that they’re going to try to show less of whatever they used to show. Watch out for “reality” shows starring somebody from Star Trek, or something.

  3. *Correction: “…changes it’s name FROM something clear…”.

    Sorry, typo.
