Love them old shows nobody could reproduce that woman’s voice today the way it is there, my brain just drank that up it was very comforting, and all the crackles and stuff make it really atmospheric. I need to invest in a good,pair of speakers

Yeah, certain feminine intonations are no longer used… Different roles, anymore. Surface noise means a great deal.
