It could be that it’s not a conscious choice on Charlize Theron’s part to speak in the American accent in interviews. Maybe she gets stuck in it for a while after doing a role. I’ve heard that happens sometimes.
You got “Stairway to Heaven” stuck in my head! Fortunately it’s a good song and stuff, so no worries. 😀
