  1. I had no clue that they where called conversation pits. My ideal home has exactly that as the center of the house and the house itself is circular. Maybe one day I can build it. Who knows.

  2. I remember entering a couple of homes as a kid and the hosts pointing out their “sunken living rooms” as they showed us the house. Never heard of it as a conversation pit until now.

    As for your time traveler challenge and the classified ad placement in the occult section of Spin number from March 1996, I’m perplexed. Though I might have a theory on the matter, I really would like to hear why such a time traveller would ever wind up listening to this point so deep into #893. Can someone enlighten me?
