55:44 – Here’s a cassette I recorded 29 years ago, when I was 16. My then-friend Jay and I took my tape recorder to school and made an audio document of our day to be remembered forever more. Throughout the tape you’ll hear various people referring to a fight between two girls, which as I recall never actually occurred but was fun to speculate about. That’s my nephew Erik you’ll hear toward the end. I released several portions of this cassette as part of The Shambleshow #7: KZ-93 back in 2012, but this is an improved remaster of the entire tape (minus a couple of brief cuts). You’ll also hear very brief snippets of the music that was on the tape before I used it for this little project. RFS 236. Recorded 2/6/91.

35:17 – Schlock Express is back with a no-frills lockdown episode. From plastic bikinis and clunky robots to space heroes with drawn on moustaches, we take a look into the wild world of Italian Star Wars knock offs.
Kicking off with The Humanoid and its cast of James Bond veterans, we move on to possibly the high point of this sub-genre with the magnificently surreal Starcrash before plumbing the depths with Alfonso Brescia’s poverty stricken space opera, Star Odyssey.

2:59:43 – A very exciting moment for me: at long last, the Constitution Trail Adventure recording I’ve mentioned over and over again has been edited and released to the Overnightscape Underground. This is one of my favorite recording experiences ever. Join me as I take a long walk and record lots of talky-talk on a gorgeous Fourth of July back in 2011. There is so much about that day that I’d forgotten, and it was great to revisit it during the editing process. The original recording was about 3 hours and 21 minutes long; I had to cut a few bits out that would have revealed personal information about people I knew at the time or that had copyrighted music playing for too long to be considered fair use. So walk with me, talk with me, and awaaaaaaay we go. RFS 232. Recorded 7/4/11.
