1:02:58 – People have said they spotted something approaching… can it be true? Can a certain podcast be descending back to Earth from the deepest regions of space? Yes, here it is folks… the return of Gunkcast for 2018! After a very extended hiatus we are back with the long-promised episode, which features an even more long-promised album that has finally been released. Yes, we have decided to treat you (our dedicated fans) to an in-depth dissection of each of the songs from this new album & we are dedicating this episode to the 1st track: “Welcome To The Meltdown.”
And as if this couldn’t get any better, we also have jam packed this episode with all sorts of bonus content! We do our signature Gunkcast review of several pop culture movies, as well as a certain exclusive You Tube Red series (& take special note to stick around for a possible hidden ending featuring a certain very long overdue review)! Finally, we have recently unearthed some forgotten recordings which were done several years ago for an intended collaboration with Jimbo… we offer these in special tribute to his memory here. All of this plus our trademark crazy comedy and rocking soundtrack (provided by Smidge & the band)… what more could you possibly want from a podcast? Cheers!

1:08:18 – Has 2017 seemed just a little quiet so far for the podcast? Fear not… you may just need earplugs for this one! We crank those guitar amps up (yeah, yeah…definitely past “11”) & bring the show back in full swing as we dedicate this episode to the band behind the podcast! Yes, for this one we pay tribute to the legacy of The Gunk U.K.. Hear from friends, podcast peers, ex-roadies, punk rock mail carriers, pub owners, disgruntled recording engineers, and (of course) the band themselves as we take you on a wild journey into the world of The Gunk U.K.! The full story is disclosed about the band who dared to shun the establishment and take what was rightfully theirs: a good pint of ale at the pub for their sweaty performance! There is also the hint that for the proper listening expeience, you should play this episode at 45 RPM (& at that max volume)! And to top everything off…we take you on a seasonal adventure, give you a stellar concert review, and throw in all the great music to boot! What more could you possibly want from a podcast? Cheers!
A special note should be made that you may hear a companion episode to this one on Static Radio right here. Also, please share the love and listen to some of our favorite podcasts at: Onsug, Static Radio, & Insignificast!

33:35 – We are finally back from winter hibernation with a normal show. Wait… is there ever such a thing as a normal show for Gunkcast? You’ll just have to tune in to figure that out for yourselves! We won’t say too much here, but this one could actually be the biggest game changer for the podcast to date (as somebody is MIA & somebody steps in to take the show back)!
Some key highlights for this one: Shout-outs to Doc from Insignificast & Jimbo from Onsug. Contributing to a show for Jimbo. A St. Patrick’s Day flashback adventure. Our 2016 Grateful Dead & general 60’s conspiracy rant (featuring a special guest)! R.I.P. David Bowie. Winter/Spring movie & TV review roundup. Oh… and a hint to stick around later for some possible Easter Eggs!
Also featured are some great musical contributions from Jimbo, A.O.D., & our own house band Curmudgeon! We hope you enjoy our BIG return to form for 2016… cheers!
