Tape Land 92 – Reflection Brake (circa Fall 1988)

21:20 – Welcome to Tape Land! On each episode, I’ll present the audio of a cassette tape from my collection. It’s a way to help motivate me to digitize more of my archives.

I was working on the soundtrack for a stop-motion animated movie I was making in film school called “I Slight Ice Light”, circa Fall 1988. This tape is labeled “Reflection Brake”, and has some interesting sounds, performed on my Casio SK-1 sampling synthesizer.

As I recall, I recorded different sounds for different characters, then synched them up while editing the film. So this is the raw tape of those sounds.
