Keystone Victrola: Jack Benny, Set #5 (8/7/15)

keystone jack

2:08:02 – Schlepperman! Sam Hearn will stick around for a few years. The show’s format is resembling its more popular 1940s stylings more and more all the time, albeit with more corny jokes. In the last ten minutes of this collection Morton Downey, Jr. gets a surprise namecheck despite that he is not yet two years old. (Hint: it’s more a reference to his singing father.) Jack, Mary, Don Wilson, and some other people star in these shows from 1934.

Jack Benny, Set #5 (7/20/34-9/21/34)

Who Killed Mr. Stooge Part 5 (7/20/34)
The Stooge Murder Case Part 1 – to New York on the 20th Century Ltd. (8/3/34) *
