14:18 – Frank Edward Nora’s father, Frank Ralph Nora, passed away on May 11, 2023 at age 81. To celebrate his father’s life, Frank has collected all of the interviews he did with him on his podcast, The Overnightscape. Starting in 2005, FRN started telling stories from his days in the Navy, in Liberia in the early 1960s. After that he explored a multitude of topics, including trips, experiences working as a civil engineer in New Jersey, eccentric people he has met, and much more. Also included are several older recordings (1969-1986) featuring FRN.

30:12 – Are the Anakim, Nephilim, Watchers and Anunnaki all branches of the same family tree? Do giant tools imply giant tool-users? Does Dave’s falsetto voice remind you of a Monty Python skit? Why send out spies if you’re not going to believe their reports? Is gathering firewood on the Sabbath deserving of the death penalty? Which is more deadly, a sinkhole or a death ray? Dave in Kentucky tells you what he thinks, and all he asks is that if you don’t like his answers, just please don’t kill the messenger.

1: 35: 39 — Join Mike at the Grand River Drive-In in Leeds, AL, where he watches, and occasionally comments on, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
Other thoughts include: other activities to do in town other than sit around, watch movies and play video games; escape rooms; rage rooms (where you, an adult, pay money to break stuff like a little kid); the wide range of sights and sounds you see in town as a delivery driver; an Uber customer I delivered groceries to accidentally stole my beer; a jackass Doordash driver got fired for cursing at a customer who gave him a generous tip; director James Mangold is a great director despite Indiana Jones, and more.
22:54 – A curious mix of topics indeed! Join me for my latest podcast episode in which I discuss, among other things, bubbles, programming languages, and use-case driven development. I also talk about Ruben’s blog, a source of inspiration that encouraged me to expand the topics about which I write on my blog. In the episode, I also mention the Overnightscape Underground, to which episodes of this podcast are now syndicated. I hope you enjoy the episode!
