I hope the losing weight works for you. I’m shorter than you by a fair amount and I hit 210 a few years ago. I worked hard to get the weight off and got as low as 155 (though i had been sick then).
I stopped exercising due to lack of time and the weight came back. I’m around 190 now and Wii Fit declares that I am obese.
So… just eating better won’t help you; you’re going to have to exercise. Also, don’t forget about fat and cholesterol. Those can do worse than carbs.
On the bright side, you can probably get away with just walking for 30 minutes every day.

Thanks for the tips! So far, so good. Although I’m not on track to lose 20lbs in 30 days, In 6 days I’ve lost 4lbs. I’ll take 4lbs a week 🙂
