Tape Land 90 – The Severe Repair Tape #1 (12/31/88-1/1/89)

1:25:12 – Welcome to Tape Land! On each episode, I’ll present the audio of a cassette tape from my collection. It’s a way to help motivate me to digitize more of my archives.

While “Severe Repair” (meaning something like “extreme travel”) eventually became the name of a science fiction story, it started off as the proposed name of a band project which never happened, and then, as heard on this tape, as an idea for a kind of audio magazine on cassette (which also never happened). Starting on New Year’s Eve 1988, and continuing into New Year’s Day 1989, this tape has a wide range of content, and is a really cool re-discovery for me (as I have little-to-no memory of recording it). –Frank Edward Nora, 4/5/19
