Gunkcast 46: Halloween H2O (10/30/16)

1:31:02
 – The crypt has opened once again as the scarefest for the podcast returns for a big 2016 outing!  This time Smidge decided to dedicate the show entirely to one of his favorite network of podcasters. That’s right… it’s a Halloween to Onsug!

So for this ghouls night out we have invited as many of the great Onsug hosts to participate as possible. That being said, we received “seven” amazing contributions! Yes, these brave souls stepped up to relate their tales of terror which may just provide some extra thrills (& chills) to haunt you for your All-Hallows’ Eve of 2016! So, as is Halloween tradition for Gunkcast, we bring you all the tricks (or shall we say treats): creepy tales from our stalwart contributors, hair-raising comedy, more conspiracy freak outs, & a review to die for! Oh… and of course a rocking soundtrack to boot (featuring musical contributions from the likes of Letter Seventeen, Jimbo, Curmudgeon, The Gunk U.K., The Warp Zone, & Albert Gyorfi)! Have a frightful Halloween for 2016 all!

Also, please share the love and listen to some of our favorite podcasts at: Onsug, Static Radio, Letter Seventeen, For Whatever Reason, & Insignificast!

Vic and Sadecast 021 – Molasses Taffy (1933) (10/22/16)

oo-222 (14:06) PQ Ribber (as Vic) and Jimbo (as Rush) tread lightly as they take on a previously unrecorded “Vic and Sade” script from 1933.

PQ and Jimbo both realize that neither can imitate the actors (Art Van Harvey and Bill Idelson) but hope to capture the spirit in which this play was performed. Throw tomatoes if you must, but no one knows better than these two that Van Harvey and Idelson cannot be captured. Think of this simply as an ode to Paul Rhymer.

Thanks to Marc Rose, who was the announcer.

“Vic and Sade” was created and written by Paul Rhymer. For all your “Vic and Sade” needs, visit The Crazy World of Vic and Sade.

Hometownville: Episode 08 – WTF 1.0 (10/15/16)

blooper (19:26) The show, “Hometownville”, wasn’t always the award-winning your-sides-will-ache audio program that you currently enjoy on ONSUG. About 7 weeks ago, Jimbo sat down and created this monologue, which was to be the beginning of Episode One.

You will hear voices you don’t normally hear in the “community igloo” and plenty of other strange stuff – including the ill-fated Mayor Whatchamcallit. Hold on to your loved one, this could be quite a ride!
