Tape Land 103 – The Frank Nora Show – Mystery Episode (9/30/10)

1:16:55 – Welcome to Tape Land! On each episode, I’ll present the audio of a cassette tape or historic recording from my collection. It’s a way to help motivate me to release more of my archives.

“The Frank Nora Show” was one of the alternate names for The Overnightscape I used in that chaotic time of 2009-2011.

Back then, there would be times when I would record, but feel uncomfortable with the show I did, and then not release it. That’s what happened with this episode – though listening to it today (July 2019), it’s hard to figure out what was wrong with it.

Falling between episodes 1577 and 1578, this “mystery episode” has a lot of interesting stuff going on in the “lost episode”  – including an idea for “Overnightscape Tonight”, which would become “Overnightscape Central” just a few months later.

I covered many of the same topics on the show the next day, on Frank Nora Show 1578 – UFO (10/1/10).

Notes: Cat food on the giant umbrella, it’s not even raining, drinking mate instead of coffee, A View From Space, UFOs, getting on the bus, aliens in the sky, sirens, alien theories, Times Square, having a giant umbrella, Coffee Mate, Beatles video billboard, Jackass, dwarf planet Makemake, Disney Store, Storm 16, Ruby Wax, Shock Treatment (1981), Chinese cooking competition, Steely Dan, American TV personalities in Britain, Rich Hall, The Spice Girls, Oliver Reed, Katie Puckrik, the idea of doing a live show, the idea for Overnightscape Tonight, violent art, Tony Curtis dead at 85, Rutgers student suicide, UFO predictions, 50th anniversary of The Flintstones, misanthropy, good and bad aliens, behind the scenes of The Frank Nora Show, Chinese Culinary Competition in Times Square, Earl of Sandwich.
