The Night Pool #14 (4/21/15)

3:59:02 – Take a deep dive into The Overnightscape Underground (Onsug) Archive…

Onsug is a massive collection of audio – currently over 6,400 tracks, totaling over 263 days (over 8.5 months) of audio. But what’s in the archive? What does it sound like?

I chopped each audio track into 5-minute clips, resulting in over 75,000 of these segments. By playing them in random order, we can deeply explore what’s inside the archive, to get an idea of what it contains.

The Night Pool is just like drifting though all these random thoughts and ideas, soundscapes and songs, conversations and rants… no hosting, no context… just a pleasant swim though the humble weirdness of Onsug…

The Frank Nora Time Machine – Hosted by Jimbo – (4/18/15) 005

(1:01) – Welcome to The Frank Nora Time Machine (hosted by Jimbo)

Laugh along with Jimbo as he treats us to the best all-time bits of Frank Nora. Some of these bits last seconds, some a few minutes… but none of them lasts 275 days – (roughly the time it would take someone to listen to every Frank Nora story.)

Frank has fascinating stories, commutes and works in a great city, reviews malls, odd snacks and drinks; meanwhile that crazy Jimbo character adds some of his own comments and will pull a rabbit out his wide-brimmed hat at times.

Introduction, FROM The Overnightscape #16 (6/26/03) ’77 psychological analysis, electrocution/J

FROM The Overnightscape #17 (7/3/03) trip to Coney Island, strange feeling/v.ditto, aquarium and jelly fish, the Midway/J
