WordPress Issues

The theme I had been using, “Royale”, was outdated and stopped working with a PHP update.

I’m working on finding a new theme, and am using a temporary one which should allow the site to function.

Let me know if you are having any problems with the site.

DS10: Ghost Stories (11/30/18)

45:24 – As the nights draw in and Winter approaches, we gather around a crackling fire to recount (and sometimes debunk) tales of ghost ships, while the master of the ghost story, Algernon Blackwood himself, joins us to tell his chilling tale ‘Lock Your Door’.  Why do ghost stories continue to fascinate us?  Does everyone have a ghostly experience to share?  Where are the modern ghost stories of the haunted world wide web?

(Apologies for the quality of the Algernon Blackwood segments – they are audio from a 1949 short film, now in the public domain).

DS6: Tea and Terror (4/23/18)

Tea and Terror

37:45 - Ripped from the headlines!  Doc Sleaze risks life and limb to uncover the truth about the recent nerve agent attack on his hometown!  Was it all a ‘false flag’ attack by the local Chamber of Commerce to drum up tourism business? (‘Tea and Terror’ tours, anyone?)  Local TV and police responses – caught on the hop?  Are the Russians out-sourcing assassinations?  The role of SPECTRE.  Is the UK being held to ransom?  The investigation is conducted with assistance from The Satan Bug (1965), 7 Golden Women Against Two 07 (1966), Assignment K (1968), Special Mission Lady Chaplain (1966), Agent For H.A.R.M (1966) and Secret Agent Super Dragon (1966).

DS5: A Kind of Limbo (3/1/18)

42:18 – The Doctor’s Wife (1953) extols the virtues of Ex Lax as part of our meditation on illness and medicine.  Dire diagnoses!  Sickening side effects!  Weird dreams and witchcraft by e-mail!  Hairy feet as the key to health!  All part of a general rumination on the limbo long term sickness can leave us in!

Vic and Sadecast 080 – The Letter-writing Plot (11/19/17)

grSUNDAY (17:19) Rush’s cousin Euncie outsmarts Sade (a difficult thing to do) and puts an end to the continual letter-writing. Meanwhile, the folks at Crisco are cooking up a “spicy pineapple pie”. It’s digestible.

Examine this episode more closely: 41-06-09 Letter Writing Plot

“Vic and Sade” was written by Paul Rhymer.

A big THANK YOU to Internet audio pioneer Frank Edward Nora and ONSUG for hosting the VIC AND SADECAST.
