Across The Pond / Sportscast Episode 1 (8/26/10)

40:53 – This is going to be a sportscast and also tech, gadgets and the world wide web reviews. The premier league in England a brief run through of the current situation. Major League Baseball, brief coverage of the state of play at the minute and a story which is well known about a sports fan  who made a big mistake during a play off game. Tech News…a guy with a downloading fixation. My first meeting with an IPad..very positive review, excellent case for the IPad with a keyboard attached. IPad rival, the Samsung Galaxy Tab, looks good but why buy that when you could get an IPad ? Apple trying to get a patent so they can control the product they sold you……Big Brother? New 3D products on the way. Google Goggles coming to IPhone. New Firefox looks interesting…coming soon. New rss reader that looks a good piece of software.  Music site that finds music from all over the net. Everyone knows Spotify for your music but has a new addon which can incorporate your music library.

Conspiracy of the Insignificant – Colonel Bleep Blip – (8/27/10)

9:59 – More of the obscurest and deliciousest strange popular culture ever as PQ Ribber discusses Colonel Bleep, more spiffy retroriffic Outer Space Adventure from the depths of 1960s Kid’s TV!  A tribute tune to Jean Shepherd, ‘Whoopie World’ is premiered and then more obscure toons with The Mighty Mister Titan – Not enough??  There’s even another drop into the 1953 mindset!  Fun compressed and formed into another episode of the Universe’s Awesomest 10 Minute Broadcast!

Conspiracy of the Insignificant – Starlost and 1953 – (8/26/10)

10:00 – The 1973 Canadian Sci-Fi series, The Starlost, is remembered and while PQ gives you some cool rudiments, your further curiousity will appreciate this review of the complete DVD set.  This forgotten 70s classic that Harlan Ellison planned then disowned is certainly another addition to the Conspiracy of the Insignificant Hall of Stuff and People that Shouldn’t Vanish.  Then, PQ turns back the clock to 1953 as he leafs through the December 1953 issue of Popular Mechanics with special Aluminum references!  The modernest 10-minute audio transmission in the universe!

Conspiracy of the Insignificant – Rivals Spanish Eyes – (8/25/10)

10:00 – The obscure and apparently unusual 1972 film, “Rivals” is thrown into the air and babbled up, as well as some choice opinions on comedians.  A sort of double-review of this movie can be found here.  You also get to hear PQ and Dr Panasofkee as they conspired to attempt the cheezoid standard, ‘Spanish Eyes’.  Another fun and frivilous ten minutes from New Mexico’s badlands to you!
